Description

Physicians’ Primary Care of Southwest Florida is a premier physician owned and managed primary care practice with locations in Cape Coral, Estero, Fort Myers and Lehigh Acres. We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our Adult Medicine division at out College Parkway office . Schedule is Monday through Friday, Day Shift. Sample of Responsibilities: * Review and process prescription requests from patients and those sent electronically from pharmacies. * Follow refill protocol as set by the practice. * Works closely with providers and pharmacies to answer any questions/discrepancies in medications. * Perform medication prior authorizations. * Assist with patient education as needed. * Stays current with knowledge of medications (brand vs generic), doses and delivery methods (tables, creams, topical). * Maintains strict patient confidentiality and protected heath information (PHI) in a manner consistent with HIPAA. Responsibilities

The Pharmacy Technician processes prescription requests and manages refills while coordinating with providers and pharmacies to resolve medication discrepancies. They are also responsible for performing prior authorizations and providing patient education on medications.
