Description As a Pharmacy Technician in our Cycle Fill Department, you will actively label and dispense monthly prescription orders, including providing unit dose packaging (e.g., blister cards). Duties & Responsibilities Pull correct stock bottles from inventory and stage prescriptions for packaging. Accurately dispense and label prescription orders. When appropriate, prepare unit dose packaging (e.g., blister cards) based on the directions for use, either by hand or using packaging machines. When appropriate, pull the correct pre-packed blister card and affix prescription labels. Sort and organize completed prescriptions. Perform quality assurance checks as directed. Prepare orders for delivery. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Skills & Abilities Must possess an active TX State Board of Pharmacy Technician License. 1+ year of pharmacy tech experience in a retail or Long Term Care setting; 3+ years preferred Can perform pharmacy calculations. Understands basic pharmacy language to interpret prescriptions. Ability to complete projects promptly. Ability to work with little oversight and/or guidance. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times and traverse close quarters quickly. Must be able to stand on feet for the duration of an eight (8) hour shift.
