Pharmacy Technician The Pharmacy Technician performs duties relating to the filling and dispensing of unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to the nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt accurate manner. Please note the following important details regarding this role: This role is an onsite position and will report onsite daily as scheduled Flexible and available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled, based on departmental needs and operational requirements Work Status Available: Full Time, Variable Shifts Hours: Monday - Friday, 0700 - 1530 Required Qualifications: H.S. Diploma -OR- GED Equivalency Upon Hire: Texas Pharmacy Technician Trainee -OR- Texas Registered Pharmacy Technician License Minimum of one year (> 2080 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system and current PTCB certification -OR- 2 years (>4160 hours) hospital pharmacy if not PTCB certified Preferred Qualifications: Coursework/Training: Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program Specialty certification (e.g. ACPE approved sterile compounding certification) where applicable by role and state Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR) Why Join Providence?
