JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring accurate medication administration, and providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and have experience in a hospital or pharmacy setting.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a pharmacy technician training program is preferred.
  • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals and patient care.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or pharmacy setting is highly desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
  • Proficient in using pharmacy software systems for medication management.

Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications to patients.
  • Accurately measure, package, and label medications for distribution.
  • Maintain inventory of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies, ensuring stock levels are adequate.
  • Process medication orders and verify patient information for accuracy.
  • Provide support in medication administration under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Educate patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, and storage requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to comply with health regulations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and safety.
