Work Schedule: 80% FTE; Day/Evening Schedules. Mix of AM and PM schedules, ranging 6:30AM – 11PM. Weekend rotation required. You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician Specialist to: * Prepare and distribute pharmaceuticals, perform inventory control, compliance audits, and financial transactions, provide excellent customer service, and maintain pharmacy records. * Demonstrate exemplary teamwork and work as part of an interdisciplinary patient care team. * Adapt to a changing environment, demonstrate flexibility and a positive attitude to complete any work within the scope of the role. The ideal candidate will have sterile compounding or hazardous drug compounding experience. Experience performing in a fast-paced and high volume environment preferred. Teamwork and attention to detail are essential to this role. Qualifications * High School Diploma or equivalent Required * Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program Preferred Work Experience * 6 months experience as a pharmacy technician, completion of accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program, or completion of second year of pharmacy school. Required Licenses & Certifications * Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician Registration Upon Hire Required * Must have valid driver’s license and must have a driving record that allows for the Health System insurance carrier to cover the incumbent.
