The team structure at our Infusion Centers provide a clear path for growth opportunities including entry level Pharmacy Technician I, Technician II, and Specialists. Responsibilities include: Monthly environmental sampling Competency assessment for compounding personnel Training of new staff Training of EVS staff to clean the IV rooms Monitoring staff compliance with proper compounding technique Auditing for compliance with standard work and regulatory compliance The specialty technician will perform complex, specialized duties regarding automated dispensing machines, robotics, repackaging devices and/or are assigned leadership roles in departmental projects and programs. May periodically be responsible for performing basic pharmacy technician duties and more advanced pharmacy technician duties that may include billing and/or IV Clean Room responsibilities based on site specific needs. Works under the supervision of registered pharmacists. Experience/Specialized Skills: High school diploma or equivalent. Required Certification/Registration: Current Pharmacy Technician License. Certification by a National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT) required within 6 months of hire. Minimum 2 years pharmacy technician experience. Education/Course(s)/Training: 5 years inpatient experience preferred 2 years of compounding, hazardous drug handling is preferred
