Pharmacy Technician – Specialty (Certified or Registered) Position information Title: Pharmacy Technician – Specialty (Certified or Registered) Facility: Fidelity Health Care / Premier Health Specialty Pharmacy Job Reports to: Pharmacy Manager – Premier Health Specialty Pharmacy Position Summary General Summary/Responsibilities: Under the direct supervision of the Pharmacy Manager and Pharmacists and according to standard procedures, assists in total prescription filling process: data entry, inventory management, counting, labeling, filing, and billing of prescribed products. Coordinate’s care (with a multi-disciplinary team) directly with patients and caregivers. Works with other team members and outside entities (insurance companies, PBMs, manufacturers) to obtain/verify patient financial responsibilities. Delivery to patient homes/treatment sites as directed. Qualifications Education Minimum Level of Education Required: High School completion / GED Additional requirements: § Type of degree: N/A § Area of study or major: N/A § Preferred educational qualifications: N/A § Position specific testing requirement: N/A Licensure/Certification/Registration § Must be listed as Certified/Registered Pharmacy Technician with Ohio State Board of Pharmacy § Current PTCB or NHA certification Experience Minimum Level of Experience Required: 1 - 3 years of job-related experience Prior job title or occupational experience: Prior hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred Prior specific functional responsibilities: N/A Preferred experience: N/A Other experience requirements: N/A Knowledge/Skills § Possess good interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and problem solving skills § Able to read and write printed material in English § Proficiency with computer keyboard operations § Ability to compute simple algebraic ratios, volume/volume percentage and weight/volume percentage Possess ability to work well with other health care workers and perform as team member
