How You’ll Make a Difference Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy Care Operations, you will lead Mosaic’s pharmacy technician team, including Lead Pharmacy Technicians, keeping daily pharmacy operations running smoothly, compliantly, and at a high standard of quality. In this role, you will manage staffing, scheduling, training, and performance for the technicians who fill and package medications, making sure the pharmacy operates efficiently and meets every regulatory requirement. Your leadership keeps the team that serves medically complex and vulnerable seniors strong and focused, so patients across the country receive accurate, reliable pharmacy care every day. What You’ll Do Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of pharmacy technicians and Lead Pharmacy Technicians, keeping workflows streamlined and service quality high. Act as a key escalation point for operational and patient care issues, resolving concerns directly or escalating through the right channels. Manage scheduling, timekeeping, paid time off, and staffing coverage to keep pharmacy operations running, especially during peak periods. Lead hiring, performance management, and performance evaluations for the technician team. Support the development and delivery of training programs and workflow improvements, and ensure technician competency. Monitor workflow for accuracy, efficiency, and compliance, ensuring adherence to SOPs, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Lead team communications, including regular one-on-ones and huddles, and maintain up-to-date training documentation. Collaborate with pharmacists, leadership, and other departments to align daily operations with strategic goals and drive continuous improvement. Provide timely, transparent updates to leadership on performance metrics, staffing, and process improvement opportunities. Enforce HR policies and Standard Operating Procedures consistently to maintain a fair, compliant, and professional environment. Compensation The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000. This role is also eligible for a 10% annual performance bonus. Actual compensation within the range is determined by factors including experience, skills, and internal equity. Requirements What We’re Looking For Required 5 or more years as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), with a currently active Virginia pharmacy technician license. Demonstrated people-leadership skills, with the ability to grow and lead a technician team. Excellent working knowledge of pharmacy workflow and operations. Knowledge of pharmacy laws and federal and state regulations concerning patient care. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail. Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent customer service skills. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company-sponsored visa sponsorship. Preferred Experience with retail, mail-order, or long-term care pharmacy data entry and pharmacy dispensing software. Experience with Parata or other pharmacy automation systems.
