An exciting opportunity has arisen for a pharmacy technician to join our friendly team at Twyford Surgery. We’re looking for a proactive and organised individual to support our Clinical Pharmacist and existing pharmacy technician in a varied and rewarding role.
You’ll help process discharge and clinic letters, review and reconcile medications, update records based on hospital changes and add ICE forms—making sure everything runs smoothly for both patients and the wider team.
You’ll also play a key role in supporting medication reviews, checking that all relevant tests are up to date, linking medications with diagnoses, and ensuring patients are happy with their current regime. Where appropriate, you’ll help reauthorise or recommend reauthorisation of meds.
The role also includes monitoring for ADHD shared care, managing hypothyroidism using a set flowchart, supporting the delivery of PQS and DSQS targets, and assisting with QRISK3 assessments and monitoring of DMARDs and other medications needing regular follow-up.
Clinical supervision and mentorship will be provided. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, adaptable, has excellent clinical skills and a good level of competence in use of I.T. Strong communication and organisational skills are key, as you’ll be working closely with healthcare professionals, patients, families, and carers.
So if you’re detail-focused, confident with clinical systems, and keen to make a real difference to patient care, we’d love to hear from you!
