We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician in Marion county that is a good advocate for their patients, solution-oriented, honest and passionate. A WHN Pharmacy Technician assists pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications. They handle prescription processing, measure and package medications, label prescriptions, and maintain accurate patient and inventory records. Pharmacy technicians also provide customer service, manage insurance claims, restock medications, and ensure compliance with safety, legal, and confidentiality standards. They work in a clinic setting supporting efficient and safe pharmacy operations under a licensed pharmacist’s supervision. Key Responsibilities Receive, interpret, and process prescription orders under pharmacist supervision Prepare and label medications, including counting, measuring, and mixing Assist in maintaining accurate patient records and prescription documentation Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and checking for expired medications Handle insurance claims and prescription billing Provide customer service by answering basic questions and directing concerns to the pharmacist Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy workspace Comply with federal, state, and pharmacy regulations and safety standard Requirements Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: This position requires: A. knowledge of the daily operations of a pharmacy; B. the ability to prioritize conflicting demands/expectations as well as to multi-task effectively for sustained periods of time; C. the ability to interact positively with consumers and other customers over the telephone or in- person; D. a working knowledge of administrative tools such as a computer, a facsimile machine, a telephone system, a postage meter, etc.; E. the ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals; F. good communication skills to interact with customers and pharmacists G. the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; and H. good interpersonal skills when it comes to building and maintaining effective business/work relationships. Education, Experience & Training: High school diploma or equivalent Completion of a pharmacy technician training program (preferred) Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or equivalent, preferred or required depending on state) Basic math and computer skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
