Position Title: Pharmacy Warehouse Stock Lead
Department: Warehouse Operations
Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor
Employment Type: Full-Time
Role Summary:
The Pharmacy Warehouse Stock Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of GDP to the pharmacy warehouse, ensuring efficient inventory management, and maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety. This role involves overseeing the continuous tracking and management of inventory levels within the Warehouse setting. The Stock Coordinator will coordinate with other departments and ensuring timely and accurate fulfilment of orders direct to Pharmacy.
Job Specification

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, oversee the receipt and storage of incoming pharmaceutical products, and ensure accurate and timely order fulfilment. Execute efficient and effective shipment processing by following processing and placement guidelines
  • Coordination: Work closely with the pharmacy, purchasing, and customer service departments to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of products.
  • Quality Control: Maintain quality control procedures to ensure the integrity and safety of pharmaceutical products, escalate any identified concerns to Line Manager
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in warehouse operations and assist Line Management to implement solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity. Preparing for and participating in floor set changes
  • Expertise: As a “feet on the ground” super user of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) this role is crucial for maintaining optimal inventory levels, minimizing stockouts and excess inventory, and ensuring smooth operations within the organization. Have an ‘expert’ understanding of the WMS software, including troubleshooting, configuration, and optimization. Provide training to warehouse staff on how to use the WMS effectively and offer ongoing support.
  • Delivering Excellence: Strive for excellence in every task, ensuring high standards are met consistently. Anticipate customer and patient needs and take proactive steps to address them. Pay close attention to details to avoid errors and ensure accuracy in all interactions.

Experience: Minimum of 1 years of experience in warehouse operations. Experience in a pharmaceutical or healthcare setting is highly desirable.
Willingness to complete the Assistant Dispensing Course gaining a NVQ2 qualification within 12 months.
