Description:
At the Faculty of Engineering and Science, Department of Mathematical Sciences, a PhD stipend is available within Mathematical/Computational Methods in Industrial Flows. The primary workplace will be in Copenhagen. The stipend is open for appointment from 1.5.2025 or soon hereafter.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A relevant educational background within Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering, with a strong background in partial differential equations, preferably in fluid mechanics
- Programming experience in C++ and/or Python
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with numerical methods for solving partial differential equations
- Experience in parallelizing numerical codes and Blas/Lapack libraries
- Multiphase modelling in Computational Fluid Dynamics

- Developing a cavitation kernel function for population-balance equations
- Implementing the cavitation model in a finite-volume CFD framework
