Description
We invite applications for a PhD position in cosmology at the University of Southern Denmark, with ideal starting date September 2026 (the exact starting date is flexible). The successful candidate will join the section of fundamental physics to work with Associate Professor Sofie Marie Koksbang as part of the project “Unlocking the Power of Cosmography: A New Test of Our Cosmological Paradigm” funded by an Inge Lehmann grant from the Independent Research Fund Denmark. Qualifications Applicants should have a master’s degree in physics or related topic or expect to obtain one before Fall 2026. Applicants should have an interest in theoretical and numerical cosmology and in participating in and presenting at international conferences, workshops and PhD schools. The Inge Lehmann grant contains funding for attending such events. Applicants who can demonstrate prior experience within cosmology will be preferred, and applicants must be able to demonstrate prior experience with programming.
