Description

Museums Victoria is seeking a Philanthropic Partnerships Manager to join our team. Bring your talent for building relationships and securing transformational gifts to one of Australia’s most exciting cultural institutions.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

We’re looking for a dynamic and strategic Philanthropic Partnerships Manager to help secure the future of Museums Victoria’s programs, collections, and impact.
In this pivotal role, you’ll cultivate and manage relationships with major donors, philanthropic partners, and prospective supporters-including those considering leaving a lasting legacy through bequests. You’ll develop tailored engagement and stewardship strategies, craft compelling funding proposals, and collaborate across teams to ensure the seamless delivery of projects funded through philanthropy.
As an integral member of our Development team, reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, you’ll contribute to the sustainability and growth of Museums Victoria, playing a key part in achieving our mission to enrich lives through knowledge, storytelling, and discovery.

Responsibilities
  • Build and manage a portfolio of major donors and philanthropic partners, driving engagement and securing significant philanthropic support.
  • Support the implementation of Museums Victoria’s bequest strategy, including identifying, cultivating, and stewarding prospective and confirmed legacy donors.
  • Develop personalised cultivation and stewardship plans to foster long-term, trust-based relationships.
  • Coordinate the development of impactful funding proposals and partnership pitches.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align donor interests with Museums Victoria’s priorities and ensure outstanding project delivery.
  • Support the planning and execution of high-level donor events, meetings, and site visits.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting of donor interactions and bequest activity in CRM systems.
