Why we need you Springboard Collaborative invites talented and passionate independent contractors to apply for an opportunity to support our Philanthropy Team. The individual selected will help identify new grant opportunities and RFPs from foundations, individual donors interested in early childhood education, and support in-depth research of any qualified leads. This is a remote opportunity with a contract term of 10 months. To be eligible, you must reside in the U.S. Springboard Collaborative closes the opportunity gap by closing the gap between home and school. We coach educators and family members to help kids learn to read by 4th grade. Springboard envisions a world in which educators and families work together to help children unlock their full potential. This contract supports that goal by partnering with the Directors of Philanthropy on prospecting and with the Donor Operations team on lead tracking and data integrity to identify qualified prospects and unlock new funding pathways. Here are your responsibilities over the contract term: Prospect Research & Process Documentation: You conduct research using appropriate donor prospecting tools and document processes associated with prospect research to enable future operationalization Meeting and Event Preparation: You conduct donor research, update meeting agenda templates, and edit presentations for donor meetings and events. Data Entry: You complete monthly data cleanup to ensure donor information is correct and matches across systems. Here are your expected monthly/annual deliverables over the contract term: Deliverable 1: You will identify at least 5 qualified leads per portfolio each month. Deliverable 2: You will produce documentation for prospecting and leads process; SF entry, research briefs, and any other related documents. Deliverable 3: You will build out meeting preparation documents (~8 per month). Deliverable 4: You will meet with the Senior Director of Philanthropy at least once a month for progress check-ins. What you offer us Here are the competencies and requirements we expect the right candidate to have: Attention to Detail: You diligently attend to details and pursue quality in accomplishing tasks Communication: You listen to others and communicate in an effective manner Thoroughness: You ensure that work is complete and accurate, and independently follow up with others to ensure that agreements and commitments have been fulfilled Initiative: You recognize situations that warrant initiative and move forward without hesitation, and reasonably resolve issues, problems, or situations. You have 3+ years of experience in a nonprofit development role. You have demonstrated experience using fundraising software to generate targeted prospect research for individual, corporate, and institutional donors. You have experience with fundraising landscape research and producing donor research briefs and meeting prep documents. You have experience with fundraising prospecting tools (eg: Candid, DonorSearch, etc), and a Customer Relationship Management software. It would also be nice if you had: Proficiency or experience with Salesforce, Instrumentl, and/or iWave Experience working on a development team as support for a front-line fundraiser What we offer you Compensation: $35/hr. This is not a benefits-eligible position.
