We are currently hiring for the position of: PHILANTHROPY OFFICER, INTERMEDIATE GIFTS AND ANNUAL FUND The Philanthropy Officer, Intermediate Gifts and Annual Fund will play a key role in supporting TIFF’s fundraising efforts by managing relationships with donors contributing up to $25,000. This individual will identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward these donors to foster meaningful connections and sustained support. In addition, they will oversee the organization’s Broadbase and Intermediate giving program, and develop strategies to grow this critical donor segment. Responsibilities include designing and implementing multi-channel fundraising campaigns, such as direct mail, print, telefunding, and digital outreach, to increase donor acquisition, retention, and engagement. This candidate will work collaboratively across TIFF, particularly with colleagues in Industry, Programming, Marketing, PR and Events. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, strategic thinking, and data-driven decision-making to enhance the effectiveness of TIFF’s donor communications and fundraising efforts. This position reports to the Senior Director, Philanthropy RESPONSIBILITIES:  Portfolio Management * Manage the Intermediate level donors ($2,500-24,999) program with special emphasis on working with Loyalty and Engagement (L&E, TIFF’s membership program) colleagues to identify prospects for philanthropic gifts ( * Manage a personal portfolio 100-125 donors and prospects * Facilitates the donor transition between Broadbase, Intermediate and Major Gifts, with collaborative donor pipeline strategies * Articulate the value of supporting the goals and mission of TIFF, as well as priority programs like the Operations, Education, TIFF Lightbox programming including Cinematique, and Festival. Work closely with Philanthropy department colleagues regarding and fundraising initiatives and opportunities and with the Advancement Operations Coordinator in executing stewardship and donor engagement activities. * Develop, direct and implement strategies to solicit Broadbase (Annual Fund) and Intermediate level donors, ticket buyers, and community members using data analysis and research to execute personal visits, email, texting, phone and mail contact. This will require significant cross departmental work, including with development operations and marketing.  * Develop regular stewardship communications strategies and tactics to engage Broadbase and Intermediate donors, with the goal of retaining and increasing their support.  Program Management:  * Responsible for developing and implementing TIFF’s Broadbase giving program, engaging hundreds of donors annually. These programs include community support for the Operations, Education, TIFF Lightbox programming including Cinematique, and Festival campaigns, utilizing multi-channel strategies such as direct mail, email, social media, and telefunding. Collaborate with L&E and Marketing to integrate messaging across organizational communications and ensures tailored, segmented appeals for renewal and acquisition. (minimum goal in FY25 is $85K) * Oversee Broadbase campaigns in Canada and the USA, maintaining open communication with L&E and third-party providers to meet revenue and ROI goals, while ensuring data accuracy and timely gift processing.  * Coordinate with Philanthropy and Events teams to implement donor benefit events and stewardship strategies, supporting efforts to attract new donors and increase giving.  * Monitor campaign progress, adjust strategies to meet revenue goals, and tracks expenses to align with budget targets. Work closely with Philanthropy, Corporate Partnerships and L&E colleagues to identify donor growth opportunities. * Manage the Share Her Journey Giving Circle and its activities, including but not limited to working with volunteers and SMT members to plan events the next 1-3 years, advocacy activities, community engagement through recruitment of new members as well as lead peer solicitation initiatives. Work collaboratively with Industry, Programming, Philanthropy and L&E colleagues to deliver SHJ focused fundraising campaign (minimum goal in FY25 is $80K) * Attend and work at the Annual Festival (Sept each year) and events throughout the year at TIFF Lightbox Administrative Duties * Maintain data integrity of portfolio, including entering and updating prospect and donor contact reports, Opportunities and proposals in the Raiser’s Edge database according to established protocols. * Collect and gather data for reports and inquiries and maintain Broadbase and Intermediate division tracking * Create and track the revenue and expense budgets for Broadbase and SHJ activities * Respond to phone calls and emails from donors received through the TIFF website or through L&E, providing high-level customer service * Ensure that all relevant SOPs are created and kept up to date JOB GRADE & SALARY: * Job Grade 3 * Salary Range: $60 000 - $78 000 TARGET CONTRACT DATES: * May 1, 2026 WORK LOCATION: * Office Location: 350 King Street West, Toronto, ON M5V 3X5 * Weekly in-office requirements:  * Minimum 2 days (November to April) * Minimum 3 days (May to October)  * Festival Office Requirements: Full Time during Festival MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor’s Degree required with three to five years as a fundraising professional. Experience in broadbase fundraising and database management desirable * Proficient computer skills in Google Workspace; advanced skills in spreadsheet management and data manipulation * Background or knowledge in analytics and forecasting.
