Description Phlebotomist Department: Laboratory Status Hours: Contingent Shift: Varies ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Job Summary: Fulton County Health Center is seeking a skilled and dedicated Phlebotomist to join our Laboratory team. The Phlebotomist will be responsible for collecting laboratory specimens from both inpatient and outpatient locations within the hospital and main laboratory. Additionally, this role requires the ability to work independently at off-site laboratory draw sites, processing laboratory orders and collecting specimens. Key Responsibilities: Perform phlebotomy to collect blood specimens from patients. Oversee and ensure the proper collection of urine specimens for urinalysis, urine culture, and urine drug screens. Conduct DOT urine drug screen collections and perform breath alcohol testing as needed. Maintain a high level of professionalism, customer service, and attention to detail in all patient interactions. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Requirements Proven competency in phlebotomy, with the ability to work independently and within a team. Strong initiative and a positive attitude, with excellent customer service skills. Ability to adapt to various work environments, including off-site laboratory draw locations.
