Position Summary: A Phlebotomist (CPT) Collects and processes blood specimens for testing in the laboratory. * Labels, processes and delivers specimens for testing. * Collects blood specimens using age-appropriate techniques. * Maintains equipment and medical supplies. * Assists with coordinating and conducting blood drives, including interviewing and screening donors. What We Are Looking For: * High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred; * An approved nationally accredited training course in Phlebotomy Preferred * Certification from ASCP or NHA Required * Basic Life Support (BLS) to be obtained within 30 days of hire * Formal Phlebotomy training Preferred * Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. * Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
