Position Summary The Phlebotomist plays a vital role in patient care by performing blood collection procedures with skill, accuracy, and compassion. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and committed to creating a positive experience for patients—many of whom may feel anxious or unwell. This role requires both technical proficiency and strong interpersonal skills. Key Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures using safe, proper techniques Accurately label, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis in accordance with established protocols Ensure a positive patient experience by verifying patient identity, explaining procedures clearly, and providing reassurance and comfort Maintain clean, sanitary work areas and follow all infection control, safety, and privacy standards Accurately enter patient information and laboratory orders into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system At Hanna Cancer Associates, you’ll be part of a compassionate, patient-centered team that values professionalism, collaboration, and quality care.
