Description
A leading regional healthcare provider is conducting a confidential search for a Phlebotomist to support its laboratory and patient care services. This role is ideal for detail-oriented professionals committed to accuracy, patient safety, and high-quality laboratory operations. Key Responsibilities Verify positive patient identification to ensure safety and accurate specimen collection. Perform venipuncture and collect specimens from newborn, pediatric, and adult patients in accordance with established protocols. Process, label, package, and track specimens for transport while maintaining proper documentation. Perform limited laboratory testing under Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) guidelines. Enter results into the laboratory information system and assist with quality assurance processes. Provide excellent customer service when interacting with patients, physicians, and staff. Assist with inventory management and equipment maintenance. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. No prior experience required—training provided. MediClear Certification (or equivalent healthcare compliance credential) required. Basic computer skills, including data entry and electronic health record (EHR) use. Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to sit, stand, walk, and bend for the majority of the workday; occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
