Our new state-of-the-art modern Medical Clinic is looking for a medical clinic technician/phlebotomist. We are located in Scarborough. We are a family clinic providing a variety of medical services. We strive to be the best at everything we do and looking for an energetic, friendly, and talented team player.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR THE FOLLOWING SKILLS FROM THE INDIVIDUALS.

Ø Medical Clinic / Lab Technician with Phlebotomy Experience
Ø Strong command of both SPOKEN and written English
Ø Strong Organizational Skills
Ø Have a passion for providing a good patient experience
Ø Be able to provide excellent support to all doctors
Ø Be computer literate and experience in EMR (OSCAR) or willing to learn.
Ø Have good keyboarding skills and be quick and accurate
Ø Our office is paperless and we are always striving to find new ways to do things better.
Ø Versatile, Eager to learn, Multi-Tasking, enjoy patients interactions, and Strong Interpersonal Skills

THE FOLLOWING TECHNICAL SKILLS WOULD BE A DEFINITE ASSET:

Ø Experience in OSCAR – Booking, Billings, Patients Demographics and Wait for Lists
Ø Taking brief patients history and basic Vitals
Ø Scanning/uploading results to the patient’s chart.

Responsibilities

MAIN LAB / TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Ø Main Task: Phlebotomy, Ordering and Keeping Track of Supplies, Vaccines, Basic Triaging, swabs, assisting physicians when need, blood work well-baby, etc

ADDITIONAL MEDICAL ASSISTANT RESPONSIBILITIES :

Ø Handling all aspects of front desk duties such as calling, answering calls, checking in patients, validating OHIP cards, reviewing and placing charts in order of appointments, etc
Ø Record-Keeping and Updating Electronic Medical Records (EMR - OSCAR) such as Scanning/uploading results to the patient’s chart etc.
Ø Set up procedural preparation in each room for the patient’s visit
Ø Manage telephone calls, co-ordinate and confirm medical appointments., and follow up visits
Ø Sorting & handling office mails, faxes, lab reports, pulling charts for corresponding files to be given to Physicians
Ø Faxing of medical referrals to hospitals, and specialist
Ø Follow up and confirming of all specialist appointments with patients
Ø Handing calls and correspondence with third parties
Ø Inventory and ordering of all office and medical supplies
Ø Processing payments and invoicing, balancing all cash payments of the day
Ø Faxing drug refills and providing information to pharmacies
Ø Receive and communicate messages between physicians and patients
Ø Maintain confidential medical files and records
Ø Setup, order supplies, enter data and book appointments, prepare all demographics for new patients
