Description
Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a full time Phlebotomy Supervisor to supervise and train phlebotomists in our Laboratory.   Highlighted Responsibilities:   Responsible for administrative duties including payroll and inventory control. Responsible for scheduling personnel. Ensures coverage 24 hours/day by taking calls and filling vacant shifts. Interviews and screens all applicants for employment. Makes recommendations for the hiring, transfer, dismissal and discipline of personnel. Provides in-service training and orientation to all phlebotomy new hires. Also conducts employee evaluations. Responsible to maintain and enforce current policy and procedures. Coordinates phlebotomy services for special functions such as community wide Health fairs. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Junior College/Technical School strongly preferred. Phlebotomy registration preferred A minimum of two years experience required, with prior supervisory experience preferred. Evidence of effective interpersonal relations as well s the ability to plan, coordinate and communicate.
