Photo Lab Assistant, SC1PHOTOSPHOTO (FA26) Student Worker Eligibility: Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester. Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above. If a first semester student, GPA requirement is waived. If a Student qualifies for Federal Work Study, the Student will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Assist Photography Program. Open lab and lighting studio. Close lab and lighting studio. Assist to and advise other photography students. Mix and maintain Photography Chemicals. Chemical replenishment. Clean and make minor repairs. Check out and accept returns of equipment. Knowledge of Macintosh computers. Assist with equipment organization. Ability to lift up to 5 gallons of liquid. This student position requires a pre-employment background at the expense of the College. Qualifications: Education COD Student who has taken one or more studio art courses required. THIS IS A STUDENT JOB. High school diploma or equivalent. Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester. Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above. Prefer a Photography Major who has taken Photo 1101 and 1102 preferred. Experience Knowledge of photo process; chemical, mechanical and digital required. Knowledge of Macintosh computer operations and software required. People skills required. Chemical handling required. Licenses and Certifications COD Training Hazardous Communications Compliance Training Working Conditions: Macintosh computer. Photo equipment. Chemicals. Ability to lift up to 5 gallons of liquid. Responsibilities
