JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a talented and creative Videographer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling through visual media, with experience in both filming and post-production. This role requires a strong understanding of video production techniques, as well as proficiency in various editing software. The Videographer will work closely with our afterschool program participants, marketing and content teams to create engaging video content that aligns with our brand vision. In this position you are required to teach youth ranging from 13-24 years old and support them in media projects to incorporate skill-building and self-expression components to the program.

SKILLS

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Premiere, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop.
• Strong understanding of color management and color theory to enhance visual storytelling.
• Experience in filming techniques and video production processes.
• Knowledge of post-production workflows including editing, sound design, and visual effects.
• Familiarity with photography principles, photo editing, and photo manipulation techniques.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Background in journalism is a plus for crafting compelling narratives through video.

• Collaborate with team members to conceptualize and develop video content that meets project objectives.
• Film high-quality video footage for various projects, including promotional videos, social media content, and internal communications.
• Edit and assemble raw footage into polished final products using software such as Adobe Premiere, Capcut Pro, Final Cut Pro, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Manage color grading and correction to ensure visual consistency across all video projects.
• Conduct post-production tasks including sound editing, video effects, and integration of graphics.
• Maintain an organized library of video assets and ensure all files are properly archived.
• Stay updated on industry trends in videography and photography to continually enhance skills and techniques.
• Assist in the development of art direction for video projects to align with brand aesthetics.
• Support social media management efforts by creating shareable video content tailored for various platforms.
• Teach youth the basics of Videography and photography.
• Assist youth in creation of videos, short films, etc. for showcases.
