OVERVIEW

We are seeking a talented and creative Photogrpaher/Videographer to join our dynamic team!
The ideal candidate for this position will bring the right mix of technical knowledge and creativity to collaborate with the Marketing Department. They will be responsible for producing everything from high-quality product photography lifestyle images and product videos for multiple platforms, such as the company website, social media, campaigns, etc. They will work cross-functionally with other departments to help support the company’s success.
The main responsibility of this position is to create visually appealing and engaging website images that depict the product’s function, features, textures, and finishes. In this role, you must be able to perform duties in a highly collaborative team environment while in the studio or at an off-location shoot. Depending on company needs or projects, local and air travel may be required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS AND ABILITIES)

  • Proficient with studio and on-location lighting techniques
  • Strong color grading skills (color correction/color matching)
  • Strong retouching skills
  • Proficient in Capture One, Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Canva, Creative Suite, Video editing, Livestream through Streamyard
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to collaborate with various teams in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • Proficient with Asana, Zoom, and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with various cameras and video equipment

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in photography
  • 3+ years of product and lifestyle photography experience required
  • 2+ years of short-form video experience required
  • Experience photographing and capturing fabric or material strongly preferred
  • Studio lighting experience (Digital tech experience a plus)

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

PHOTO RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Use professional expertise and skill to capture professional, high-quality images
  • Capture different angles, shapes, or details to properly capture a product’s design and match Shannon’s aesthetic
  • Photograph using both natural and studio lighting (strobes, soft boxes, umbrellas) utilizing tethered shooting
  • Photo editing on using, but not limited to, Capture One/Adobe Photoshop to edit, crop, color-correct, and retouch products according to company brand guidelines
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure photographs will present a unified message matching the publication’s purpose, tone, and audience
  • Collaborate with Marketing Dept. to generate new ideas for product and lifestyle campaigns
  • Manage and upload images on the company shared drive, internal system, and website library as required by established procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and quick-turnaround environment to meet Production and Marketing Dept. deadlines
  • Update imagery for products on the website as needed or directed
  • Research and develop new digital workflows
  • Plan/execute shoots for new releases and seasonal campaigns in collaboration with the Marketing Dept. onsite or off-location
  • Manage and maintain the Studio, troubleshoot equipment as needed

VIDEO RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Capture short-form video content for Production and Marketing
  • Edit and style videos to match Shannon’s aesthetics and brand guidelines
  • Produce monthly Facebook live streams on-site in the studio
  • Assist Cuddle Ambassadors with live stream and video recording setups via Zoom
  • Video pre-production, planning and preparation
  • Collaborate on product, lifestyle, and seasonal campaigns for Marketing
  • Manage expenses for off-location shoots, model invoices, and booking shoot locations
  • Manage outsourced editors on Upwork for editing projects as needed
  • Research innovative ways to display and showcase products

GENERAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Organize and maintain a database of images for Shannon Fabrics’ use, as well as retailer use
  • Ensure all images are updated and are edited to match the real-life color of the fabric
  • Coordinate with others on the marketing team and within the organization to correct images when necessary
