Overview

We are seeking a talented Photographer’s Assistant to join our creative team at Images 4 Kids Katy, starting in September 2025. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced photographers and gain valuable hands-on experience in the photography industry ( this is not a photography position). Specializing in preschool, daycare, and private school photography, we strive to make picture day fun and stress-free, providing studio-quality photos and exceptional customer service to the Katy, Cinco Ranch, Cypress, West Houston, and surrounding communities. The work schedule begins early at 6:30 a.m./7:00 a.m. (depending on the school) and typically ends by noon, with no weekends or holidays and summers and winters off. This seasonal part-time contract position starts at $20 per hour.

Duties

• Assist photographers with setting up equipment and lighting for picture day.
• Organize and maintain photography gear and props.
• Collaborate with photographers during photo shoots to ensure smooth operations.
• Work with photographers to pose children for optimal pictures.
• Groom children’s faces and hair to ensure they look their best.
• Engage with children by sitting and standing with them as needed.
• Sing songs and play games to capture natural smiles.
• Set up and move props to create the perfect photo setting.

Skills

• Experience with infants/children up to age 5
• Strong attention to detail, great communication skills, organizational skills, and enjoys working with children
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to kneel/sit on the floor and get up and down quickly to pose children
• Valid Texas Driver’s License and reliable transportation
• Clear background check
