As a Team Lead at PhotoMules, you’ll take on a critical leadership role, overseeing a dynamic team of photographers and sales members to ensure high-quality service, smooth event execution, and continuous improvement in our operations. This role blends logistics, team development, and customer satisfaction—giving you the opportunity to leave your mark on every event and ensure PhotoMules’ reputation as an industry leader.

JOB OVERVIEW:

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Team Lead to manage event operations in a designated region. You’ll oversee a team of photographers and sales members, guiding them to success by ensuring seamless event execution, high customer satisfaction, and consistent performance. This role requires both logistical skills and hands-on leadership to keep operations running smoothly and ensure your team has the tools and guidance to succeed.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Leadership Experience: 1-2 years in a supervisory or team lead role, ideally in a customer-facing environment.
  • Photography Knowledge: Experience is a plus, but a general understanding of photography standards is helpful.
  • Sales & Customer Service Expertise: Proven ability to drive sales and provide outstanding customer service.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to lead your team and liaise with customers and event organizers.
  • Organizational & Analytical Skills: Strong ability to plan events, manage multiple tasks, and track team performance.
  • Problem-Solving: Quick decision-maker with the ability to handle challenges on the fly.
  • Physical Stamina: Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and stand for long periods.
  • Weekend Availability: Must be available to work weekends, as most events take place during this time.
  • Travel Requirements: Ability to travel out of state often!
  • Valid Driver’s License: Required for travel.

Responsibilities:

WEEKDAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Event Preparation & Coordination: Lead the planning and logistics for events in your region. You’ll ensure that all equipment, vehicles, and team members are prepared and ready to execute flawless events.
  • Team Training & Development: Train new staff, providing hands-on guidance and leadership. Use an Owner’s Mindset to develop your team, ensuring that they are set up for success and ready to handle every challenge.
  • Staff Coordination: Directly manage the team on event days. Lead by example, ensuring that everyone’s role is clearly defined and everyone is focused on delivering excellent results.
  • Equipment & Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the care and maintenance of equipment and company vehicles, ensuring they are always in top shape for each event.

WEEKEND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Event Leadership: Be the go-to leader on event days, attending at least three events per month to guide and support your team on-site. You’ll handle logistical flow, provide mentorship, and ensure everything runs smoothly.
  • On-Call Support: Offer on-the-ground support to team members when challenges arise during events. Use your problem-solving skills and Owner’s Mindset to make sure issues are resolved quickly and effectively.
  • Sales Leadership: Be a driving force behind sales by engaging customers and promoting our products. Lead your team to success in both customer service and sales.
  • Team Success: Lead by example. Set the bar high, ensuring your team is always focused on Leave Better—delivering quality and service that exceeds customer expectations.
  • Cash Management & Logistics: Oversee the proper handling of cash, equipment, and vehicles during events. Use your attention to detail to ensure accountability and smooth operations.
