OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW

At Quantifi Photonics, we’re pushing the boundaries of optical technology, delivering cutting-edge solutions for global customers. We’re looking for a highly skilled Photonic Design Engineer to lead and contribute to the design, development, validation, and continuous improvement of our photonics hardware and systems. In this role, you will act as a key technical leader, collaborating closely across Engineering, NPI, and customer-facing teams to ensure our products meet the highest standards of performance, quality, and manufacturability.

  • Lead and contribute to the design and development of advanced photonics hardware that meets performance, cost, and schedule goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, NPI, Sales & Marketing) to ensure product specifications align with customer needs and internal capabilities.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and participate in early-stage specification development with Technical Sales and senior engineering teams.
  • Analyse product performance data to identify and implement design and specification improvements that enhance reliability, usability, and calibration processes.
  • Develop calibration methods, tools, and training materials in collaboration with the NPI team to ensure scalable and repeatable manufacturing processes.
  • Create and execute Design Validation Plans to verify product performance throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Continuously improve validation and calibration processes through data analysis, simulation, and proactive problem-solving.
