Job Title Physical Distribution Specialist Job Description Job Location - Chakan, Pune The Physical Distribution Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless execution of daily inbound, outbound, and distribution activities within the supply chain. Operating under general supervision, the role is responsible for prioritizing operational workflows, resolving exceptions, and maintaining high data accuracy across systems. This position ensures strong operational control by conducting daily interface checks across SAP, Transportation Management (TMID), and Logistics Service Provider (LSP) systems. The role prepares long‑term transportation plans by assessing customer demand, delivery commitments, and transportation capacity. Additionally, the Specialist monitors shipment progress, ensures timely documentation updates, and proactively communicates delays or risks to relevant stakeholders. Your role: Warehouse & Operational Execution Manage daily inbound/outbound tasks including ASN checks, deliveries, POD tracking, and complaints. Oversee inward, storage, and outward warehouse activities, including cycle counts. Monitor and execute FIFO stock rotation in all warehousing activities to prevent obsolescence and maintain inventory accuracy. Performance & Process Improvement Track service provider KPIs and support daily/weekly/monthly performance reviews. Conduct root cause analysis of operational issues and drive continuous improvement. Transportation Planning Prepare long‑term transport plans based on demand and delivery commitments. Validate capacity, track shipments, and communicate delays to stakeholders. Rework & Value‑Added Services Coordinate stock rework, customer VAS, and promotional VAS activities. Quality, Compliance & Audits Support Quality , Regulatory and EHS audits. Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and internal process standards. Maintain high data accuracy across master data, SAP, WMS, and logistics systems. You're the right fit if you have: Education Bachelor’s degree with experience in Supply Chain - Warehousing & Logistics, or equivalent. Experience Minimum 8+ years in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Transportation, or Warehousing. Monitor and execute FIFO stock rotation in all warehousing activities to prevent obsolescence and maintain inventory accuracy. Skills Strong understanding of warehouse operations & cycle counts. Experience with KPIs, QMS/EHS audits, and compliance standards. Ability to work with 3PL partners and cross‑functional teams. SAP knowledge (MM/WM/TM preferred).
