Description
We are looking for a Physical Education (PE) Teacher for an International School based in Tongxiang, Zhejiang province. This position is available from March 2026. About the school This is a modern, bilingual international school in Tongxiang, Zhejiang, serving local and expatriate students from early years through upper secondary within a safe, well-resourced campus environment. Located approximately 1.5 hours’ drive (about 120 km) from central Shanghai. As part of a wider international education network, it blends Eastern and Western educational philosophies, offering small class sizes, a strong focus on whole-child development and character, and a curriculum that prepares students for further study in leading universities worldwide. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons to various age groups with clear objectives that build on students’ prior learning. Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to keep students actively involved and challenged. Set high expectations for learning, motivation, and behavior, maintaining a positive, well-disciplined learning environment. Identify and support students with different needs, including those with SEN and those who are gifted and talented. Assess and track student progress, marking work and providing clear, constructive feedback and targets. Communicate regularly and professionally with parents, including preparing informative reports on student progress. Take responsibility for ongoing professional development and follow school policies and procedures. Collaborate effectively with colleagues, including co-teachers and support staff, to enhance student learning. Manage and use teaching resources (including ICT) effectively to meet learning goals. Serve as a form tutor, supporting students’ overall wellbeing and personal development.
