Description Part time 8:00am-1:00pm Monday-Thursday ( occasional Fridays) Instructor will teach and prepare NCE students for employment in the field as a Personal Fitness Trainer and prepare them for NASM certification. The Instructor must have a caring attitude and desire to help students achieve their academic goals and career goals. Program instruction will consist of lectures and hands-on training. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: ? Provide structured lectures that align with program textbooks ? Provide hands-on training that aligns with program content ? Review and revise program syllabi as needed to align with industry standards ? Review and revise program lesson plans as needed to align with program syllabi ? Provide, administer, and grade student examinations ? Provide modular competency assessments ? Monitor and update student attendance daily ? Provide weekly academic and attendance advising ? Attend all required campus meetings ? Assist with classroom and lab coverage as needed ? Other duties as assigned Requirements Education and Experience Requirements: ? 3 years or more verifiable field experience in the field of personal fitness ? First Aid and CPR Certification required • NASM certified or currently working on obtaining NASM certification ? Must be current with Personal Training Certifications ? Must be knowledgeable in the use of a variety of gym equipment ? Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. or greater ? Must posses an athletic level of strength and cardio ? Must be able to perform basic, fundamental movements to include sitting, standing, squatting, hinging, pulling, pressing and pulling ? Must be able to maintain repetitive movement
Responsibilities
The instructor will teach NCE students to prepare them for employment as Personal Fitness Trainers and for NASM certification through structured lectures and hands-on training. Essential duties include revising syllabi and lesson plans, administering and grading exams, monitoring attendance, and providing academic advising.
