Description THIS POSITION IS FOR NRMP MATCHED CANDIDATES ONLY. The primary purpose of this position is to participate in clinical training in a specialized area of medicine through various medical rotations, while providing patient care that is compassionate, appropriate and effective. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS This position reports to the Program Director and will be supervised by Attending Physicians, Faculty and more senior Residents. This position has no direct reports. DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS While living and demonstrating our Core Values, the Resident or Fellow Physician will: Provide patient care in the learning venues as outlined by TWCGME. Venues may include but are not limited to TWCCH primary care settings, partnering hospitals and FQHCs Participate in outside medical rotations with area physicians Osteopathic resident or fellow will demonstrate practice habits consistent with osteopathic philosophy and manipulative medicine Demonstrate the ability to critically evaluate both clinical practices and evolving scientific evidence to improve patient care Apply medical knowledge of concepts and evolving standards of clinical medicine Demonstrate professionalism with a commitment to professional responsibilities and ethical principles Demonstrate an understanding of health care delivery systems to utilize system resources to provide effective, high quality patient care Demonstrate commitment to quality patient care and continuous improvement Handle emergency and crisis situations Act as a student and health care provider Take medical histories, perform physical examinations, order and interprets diagnostic studies and perform some medical procedures Meet performance expectations as outlined by specific training program including PACE Cards Comply with TWCCH organizational policies and those of each training site where training is conducted Follow all ACGME rules and regulations Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Satisfy the ACGME requirements MD or DO Strong organizational skills, computer skills and communication skills Ability to multitask Knowledge of medical billing, coding, and knowledge of insurances
