We are looking for a Physical Security Specialist I (Roving) Part-Time position in San Diego, California. **SAT/SUN shift 0900-1700 every other weekend** Summary This position will be a part of the security team conducting roving patrols, covering multiple locations at the NIWC facility in San Diego and consists of conducting roving patrols, ensuring all locations are secure, reporting any violations or disturbance to supervisors. Responsibilities Conduct physical and visual inspections of designated buildings/rooms/areas per SOP Monitor classified spaces/facilities once every 8 hours Ensure security breaches and criminal or suspicious activities aren’t present Immediately report any detected security breaches and criminal or suspicious activities Conduct all searches in a thorough and professional manner. Maintain all security check logs Maintain team schedule Drive to multiple site locations if required Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 4 years’ experience Experience conducting security checks for multiple locations Active Secret Clearance-Required Microsoft Office programs experience Be able to obtain a U.S. Government Common Access Card (CAC) Experience with U.S. Government security protocols and SOP’s Must have a valid driver’s license Preferred Associate’s degree in related field Highly Preferred Military Police experience Experience conducting security checks in areas to include classified material storage areas, safes, and other areas This contractor and subcontractor shall abide by the requirements of 41 CFR §§ 60-1.4(a), 60-300.5(a) and 60-741.5(a). Responsibilities
Conduct roving patrols and physical inspections of designated buildings and classified spaces to ensure security. Report any security breaches or suspicious activities to supervisors and maintain security check logs.
