JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, with experience in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, and home health. This role involves developing and implementing individualized care plans, conducting assessments, and providing therapeutic interventions to enhance patient mobility and quality of life.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Physical Therapy assistant from an accredited institution.
• Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to physical therapy practices.
• Experience in pediatrics, geriatrics, orthopedics, or outpatient settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with home health services and community care experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.

• Utilize various physiotherapy techniques, including trigger point therapy, to alleviate pain and improve function.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for patients.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, exercises, and home care strategies.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care using EMR systems in compliance with medical terminology standards.
• Participate in discharge planning for patients transitioning from acute care or inpatient settings to home or community care.
