This role supports both acute care and rehabilitation units, contributing to patient recovery and throughput processes. Key Responsibilities: Administer prescribed physical therapy treatments Monitor and report patient progress to the supervising therapist Assist patients with mobility, strength, and functional training Support weekend coverage to ensure timely patient transitions and care continuity Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes Responsibilities Essential Functions • Demonstrates ability to appropriately treat patients according to professional standards of practice. • Interpersonal communication skills include the ability to coordinate patient care with other team members, and counsel patients and their families. • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Qualifications Education/Training Associate degree or graduate from an accredited two-year college program in Physical Therapist Assistant. Licensure/Certification Current license in the State of Florida as Physical Therapist Assistant. Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification. Experience None.
