Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Home Health Care team in the East Detroit area. This role is ideal for clinicians who enjoy working in the field, delivering hands on therapy, and helping patients improve mobility, strength, and independence in their own homes. As a Home Health PTA, you will provide therapy visits under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, following established plans of care and contributing directly to patient progress and recovery. Competitive per visit rate with flexibility based on experience and coverage Consistent patient volume within selected East Detroit communities Supportive therapy leadership and clinical team Flexible scheduling with control over your coverage area Opportunities for long term growth within home health therapy services Responsibilities Provide physical therapy treatments in the patient’s home under the supervision of a Physical Therapist Implement treatment plans focused on mobility, balance, strength, and functional independence Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and fall prevention Observe and report patient progress and changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist Document all visits, treatments, and outcomes accurately in the EMR system Maintain compliance with home health regulations and agency policies Participate in team communication to ensure continuity of care Qualifications Qualifications Active, unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Michigan Home health or outpatient experience preferred Strong communication and patient education skills Familiarity with EMR documentation Reliable transportation for field visits Ability to work independently while maintaining high care standards Background Screening Safe Hands Home Health Care conducts background screenings through Michigan LARA upon acceptance of a contingent job offer.
