JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a licensed, dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team on a pro re nata (PRN) basis. In this role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments. Your primary focus will be to assist patients in their rehabilitation journey, utilizing your knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to support their recovery.
The patient we have right now lives on Ailsa Ave, Baltimore. The pay is $65/visit and a visit is considered ‘complete’ once the reports/notes are submitted.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or home health setting may be beneficial.
  • Familiarity with discharge planning processes and patient care protocols is essential.
  • Knowledge of physiotherapy techniques and medical terminology is required.
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations, including inpatient and outpatient care.
  • A strong understanding of anatomy and physiology as it relates to rehabilitation practices is necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Assist physical therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Provide hands-on patient care, including trigger point therapy and other therapeutic techniques.
  • Monitor patient progress and report changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
  • Educate patients and their families on exercises and care plans to promote recovery.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress notes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive discharge planning.
  • Engage with patients across various demographics, including geriatrics, and those requiring orthopedic care.
  • Support patients in both acute care settings and outpatient clinics.
