Description Position Summary: Physical Therapist Assistants perform therapeutic treatment procedures as indicated and makes patient referrals to other health care agencies/disciplines as indicated under the supervision of a physical therapist. The PTA instructs patients and family members in disability specific activity programs to maximize functional ability. Performs tasks related to daily operations of the clinical area for which they are assigned. This includes patient scheduling, employee communication, physician relations, supply control, quality improvement, and daily problem solving. The physical therapist assistant also completes special assignments as requested. Employee is responsible for supporting the corporation regarding excellence in customer service, quality, financial responsibility, and growth. Requirements Qualifications: Certification or eligible for certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant by the Nebraska State Department of Health and Human Services; graduate from an accredited physical therapist assistant educational program; basic life support certification. Display proficiency in the use of standard physical therapy modalities and treatment procedures.
