JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our growing team starting with part time and transitioning to full time roles.
In this role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care in an outpatient setting. This place will allow you to actually apply your clinical skills in treating patients as we schedule one-on-one appointments. Your clinical expertise in patient management will be essential in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.

EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology relevant to physiotherapy practices.
  • Experience in Outpatient setting is preferred.
  • Good bedside manner and communication skills.
  • Previous experience working with a variety of musculoskeletal conditions.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week

Responsibilities
  • Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Perform therapeutic exercises and modalities to enhance patient recovery.
  • Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising physical therapist.
  • Educate patients and their families about care plans, exercises, and rehabilitation techniques.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and treatment outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care for patients across various settings such as acute care, geriatrics, orthopedics, pediatrics, and outpatient clinics.
  • Participate in discharge planning to facilitate smooth transitions for patients returning home or moving to other care facilities.
