Whether recovering from surgery or aiming to stay active, we partner with you at every step to help you move stronger and live better.   Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (Orthopedic) Locations: Fort Walton Beach, Crestview, Destin     Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our orthopedic rehabilitation team. The ideal candidate will assist Physical Therapists in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care focused on restoring strength, mobility, and function following orthopedic injuries and surgeries. The PTA will play a key role in helping patients return to their active lifestyles through evidence-based therapy techniques and personalized care plans.   Responsibilities: * Implement treatment programs developed by the supervising Physical Therapist, focusing on orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions. * Provide direct patient care through therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and cryotherapy. * Assist patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, joint replacements, and musculoskeletal disorders. * Instruct and motivate patients in performing prescribed exercises and proper movement techniques to promote recovery and prevent reinjury. * Observe and record patient responses to treatments, documenting progress and reporting changes to the supervising Physical Therapist. * Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, activity modifications, and postural/body mechanics for injury prevention. * Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation in accordance with practice and regulatory standards. * Collaborate with Physical Therapists, physicians, and other members of the care team to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care. * Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment area and ensure proper equipment usage. * Participate in continuing education and staff development activities to stay current with orthopedic and sports rehabilitation techniques.   Qualifications: * Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. * Current state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant. * CPR Certification required. * Strong understanding of orthopedic and musculoskeletal rehabilitation techniques. * Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented outpatient environment. * Compassionate, professional, and patient-focused approach to care. * Prior experience in an orthopedic or sports medicine clinic preferred.   Work Environment: This position operates in an outpatient clinical setting focused on orthopedic and sports-related conditions. The role involves direct patient care, physical activity, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.   Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
