Job Details Job Location: VNA of Wabash Valley Inc - Terre Haute, IN 47804 We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant who is responsible for assisting patients with their recovery. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and love helping people, and must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in their field. The PTA will work directly with the Physical Therapist on a daily basis, so it's important that they have the ability to follow directions and think on their feet. We're looking for full-time assistance, which requires some light lifting and bending while providing individualized treatment plans as well as performing basic administrative duties. Responsibilities: Properly assess the need for treatment and evaluate patient responses to treatment. Identify potential complications and refer patients as appropriate. Provide patients with treatment by manipulating soft tissue structure. Perform therapeutic exercises and stretches for specific muscle groups. Manipulate soft tissue structure using a variety of manual techniques. Be knowledgeable of proper lifting techniques to prevent injury to patients and aids. Participate in staff meeting, case conferences, and in-service training programs.
