The incumbent will supervise, delegate work, and provide support and direction to the physical therapist(s) – degree as necessary, as well as participating in the assessment, treatment, education and evaluation for Spinal Patients. The Physical Therapist - Senior will work closely and collaboratively with the referring Primary Care Practitioner and Spine Surgeons to ensure continuity and high-quality care. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement" Human Resources Exemption: No Experience 2 years of relevant experience Education Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy Other Education and Training Current CPR Level C Competencies Advanced - Problem solving skills Advanced - Decision making skills Knowledge and Abilities Knowledge in the continuum of spinal care Ability to employ biopsychosocial approach in provisional care to patients Ability to be flexible and willing to change Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team ability to communicate effectively with staff, physicians, families.
