Responsibilities: You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including: assessing patients, developing, and delivering individualized Physical therapy treatment programs for those with medical ailments or health related issues that limit movement or abilities in everyday activities; perceptual psychosocial activities and instrumental activities of daily living and activities of daily living; assessing patients for the need for adaptive equipment and/or assistive devices; liaising with medical personnel in daily ward rounds and with peers in the outpatient rehabilitation department to obtain relevant information about the progress/needs of patients; educating and advising patients and their family regarding the diagnosed condition, the treatment plan, the expected prognosis and the short and long term goals; participating in internal (in-house) and/or external training programs and research activities; interacting professionally with patients, families, peers, medical and health care personnel; writing patient assessment and progress notes according to the designed format; complying with the department policies and organizational quality standards i.e. JCIA. Requirements: DPT in Physical Therapy from a recognized university. Minimum one year of experience as an Physical Therapy or one year of a Traineeship, preferably in a hospital. Knowledge of physical therapy theory, techniques, and equipment. Ability to perform physical therapy procedures and apply/use assistive devices/gait aides.
