Description This position is assigned to the Rehabilitation Clinic in Loganville and offers a competitive compensation package, including a $5000.00 sign-on bonus for eligible new hires. POSITION SUMMARY: Administration of physical therapy services/procedures according to clinic policies and procedures. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES- ESSENTIAL: This list of tasks is illustrative ONLY, and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by positions in this class. It does not imply that all positions within the class perform all of the duties listed, nor does it necessarily list all possible duties that may be assigned. • Evaluates patients utilizing appropriate tests and measurements to determine the physical therapy problem/level of function and the recommended treatment/discharge plan. • Promotes and has knowledge of and utilizes appropriate patient care protocol relating to the physical, psychosocial, and developmental needs for neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric patient. • Establishes physical therapy interventions based upon the evaluation and examination, physician orders, and patients goals for therapy. • Competently performs appropriate physical therapy techniques and procedures. • Provides for continuity of patient care through written and verbal communication with other health care professionals. • Makes recommendations for needed patient care equipment prior to patient discharge and assists with acquisition of same as appropriate. • Documents findings, patient progress, and all procedures performed within established time frames. • Submits all patient billing at the end of each day. • Instructs patients/family members in home programs. • Demonstrates effective time management. • Complies with quality improvement standards. • Participates in organizational committees as assigned. • Participates in assigned aspects of affiliated PT/PTA student training. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES- NON-ESSENTIAL/OTHER OSHA Category I: Duties performed routinely require exposure to blood fluid and tissue. Additional: • There is occupational risk of exposure to TB. • Risk of exposure to injury while transferring/safeguarding the patient exists. • Risk of electric shock exists in the use of electronic equipment. • Works prescheduled and/or voluntary weekends
Responsibilities
