Physical Therapist Independence, MO Full-Time $90,000–$100,000 per year, based on experience Job Summary We are seeking a Physical Therapist for a full-time outpatient orthopedic role in Independence, Missouri. In this position, you will help patients recover from injury, improve movement, rebuild strength, and manage orthopedic or musculoskeletal conditions. Your work will include evaluations, treatment planning, hands-on care, patient education, and progress tracking. The clinic serves patients from 11 to 90 years old, so each day may include a mix of post-surgical care, injury rehab, mobility training, balance work, and strength-building. Work Environment Modern outpatient orthopedic clinic 7–15 patients per day Approximately 160–190 clinic visits per week Team of 2 Physical Therapists and 2 Physical Therapist Assistants WebPT used for documentation Primary caseload includes orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions Schedule Options The clinic strongly prefers one of the following schedules: Four 10-Hour Days, Preferred Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Tuesday off weekly Monday–Friday Schedule Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM Wednesday, Friday: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM What You’ll Do Complete initial evaluations and patient reassessments Develop individualized physical therapy plans of care Treat orthopedic injuries, musculoskeletal conditions, mobility concerns, and post-surgical needs Provide therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, functional movement training, and balance work Teach patients home exercise programs and recovery strategies Review patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed Document patient care in WebPT Communicate with PTAs to keep care aligned and consistent Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program Active Missouri Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain one New graduates are welcome to apply Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred Strong communication, documentation, and patient education skills Ability to work with patients across different ages and physical needs Insurance Plans Accepted Patients are covered through several insurance providers, including: Blue Cross Blue Shield UnitedHealthcare Medicare TRICARE Humana Aetna PTO Health Insurance 401K Plan with 3% Company Match Bring your PT training to a clinic where your day is focused on practical care, patient progress, and continued learning.
