Physical Therapist Independence, MO Full-Time $90,000–$100,000 per year, based on experience A Closer Look at the Opportunity A modern outpatient orthopedic clinic in Independence is seeking a Physical Therapist to join its clinical team. This role involves working with patients across a wide age range, from adolescents to older adults, who need help with orthopedic injuries, musculoskeletal pain, post-surgical recovery, weakness, balance concerns, and mobility limitations. You will be part of a team that includes 2 Physical Therapists and 2 Physical Therapist Assistants, giving you a collaborative setting while still allowing you to manage your own caseload and treatment plans. What You Can Expect 7–15 patients per day Approximately 160–190 visits per week across the clinic Orthopedic and musculoskeletal caseload Patients ranging from 11 to 90 years old WebPT for EMR documentation Support from PTAs and fellow clinicians Modern outpatient clinic environment Preferred Schedule Choices Preferred Schedule: Four 10-Hour Days Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Tuesday off each week Alternative Schedule: Monday–Friday Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM Wednesday and Friday: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM Core Responsibilities Evaluate patients and determine physical therapy needs Create treatment plans that address pain, mobility, strength, balance, and function Provide skilled therapy for orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, strengthening, mobility work, and functional activities Use manual therapy and hands-on techniques when appropriate Reassess patient progress and update goals as needed Provide clear instructions for home exercises and ongoing recovery Maintain accurate documentation in WebPT Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program Active Missouri Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain one New graduates are welcome to apply Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred, but not required Strong patient communication and documentation skills Ability to work well in a team-based clinic environment Insurance Plans Accepted Patients are covered through several insurance providers, including: Blue Cross Blue Shield UnitedHealthcare Medicare TRICARE Humana Aetna Paid Time Off Health Insurance 401K Plan with 3% Company Match If you are ready to grow in outpatient orthopedics while working with a steady and varied caseload, we would be glad to connect with you.
