Physical Therapist Position Type: Full-Time Salary: $90,000–$100,000 per year, based on experience Setting: Modern outpatient orthopedic clinic About the Opportunity We are seeking a Physical Therapist for a full-time outpatient orthopedic position in Independence, Missouri. This role is ideal for a PT who enjoys hands-on patient care, steady clinical work, and helping patients make progress with movement, strength, balance, and function. You will work with patients across a wide age range, from adolescents to older adults. The primary caseload includes orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions, so your day may include treating injury recovery, post-surgical rehabilitation, pain-related limitations, mobility concerns, and strength deficits. What You Can Expect A modern outpatient orthopedic clinic 7–15 patients per day Around 160–190 clinic visits per week Team of 2 PTs and 2 PTAs WebPT for documentation Patients ages 11 to 90 New graduates encouraged to apply Schedule Choices The clinic strongly prefers one of these schedule options: Preferred Schedule: Four 10-Hour Days Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Tuesday off each week Alternative Schedule: Monday–Friday Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM Wednesday, Friday: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM Responsibilities Complete physical therapy evaluations and reassessments Create treatment plans based on patient goals, diagnosis, and clinical findings Provide care for orthopedic injuries, musculoskeletal pain, post-surgical recovery, and mobility issues Use therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, balance training, strengthening, gait work, and functional movement activities Guide patients through home programs and safe activity progression Monitor outcomes and revise care plans when appropriate Maintain accurate patient records in WebPT Work with PTAs to keep treatment aligned and consistent Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program Active Missouri Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain one New graduates are welcome to apply Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred Strong communication, documentation, and patient education skills Ability to work with patients across a wide age range Insurance Plans Accepted Patients are covered through several insurance providers, including: Blue Cross Blue Shield UnitedHealthcare Medicare TRICARE Humana Aetna Paid Time Off Health Insurance 401K Plan with 3% Company Match Bring your PT skills to an outpatient orthopedic clinic where your work supports real patient progress.
