What You’ll Do: The primary responsibility of a Indiana First Steps provider is to evaluate and provide treatment for pediatric patients between the ages of birth and three years with needs in the areas of physical, social-emotional, self-help, communication, and cognitive development. First Steps at APT, while working primarily in children’s natural environments (homes, daycares, community centers, etc.) also have the opportunity to work in other APT offices and contract locations, depending on the counties/areas served. PTs, OTs, and SLPs interested in any of these settings can apply for this position. First Steps Provider Essential Duties and Responsibilities (all disciplines): Work closely with patients’ caregivers and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) through a Coaching Model. Maintains professional/technical competencies and proficiencies for job responsibilities and upholds federal/state licensure and ethical expectations. First Steps Physical Therapist Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Requirements: Examines and evaluates children from birth to age 3 with a variety of congenital and orthopedic conditions to improve mobility through skilled gross motor interventions including but not limited to gait training, equipment and orthotic management, neuromuscular re-education, and therapeutic exercises. Our ideal candidate holds a doctoral degree in Physical Therapy and an applicable and current, unrestricted license to practice (or in the process of obtaining license). Responsibilities
