Description Illinois Bone & Joint is looking for a Part Time (16 - 20 hours per week) Physical Therapist to join our growing OrthoHealth program, a comprehensive wellness and weight loss program focusing on a healthy Metabolic system. You would be a part of a multidisciplinary team providing collaborative care addressing adult and pediatric obesity. In this role, you will work alongside dieticians, health coaches and physicians to provide a comprehensive care plan to optimize a patient’s metabolic health. Illinois Bone & Joint Institute, LLC, is one of the largest independent physician-owned orthopedic practices in the U.S. More than 150 board-certified and fellowship-trained physicians and surgeons treat children and adults, with expertise in every orthopedic specialty. Essential Job Functions Exceptional patient care Demonstrate empathy and understanding of patients ability and function that will support a behavioral change in patients resistance to movement and exercise Familiarity with the NEAT philosophy for exercise training Develop group exercise programs for participants in the OrthoHealth Program Have an interest in evidence based education and exercise plans that can be tailored to fit patients individualized needs Interest in Nutrition, sleep and health coaching as they impact metabolic health Interprets physician orders, performs initial evaluations and establishes treatment plans and functional goals Responsible for upgrading and amending the treatment goals as necessary during the episode of care Written documentation on patient status to physicians per compliance guidelines Determine appropriate discharge timeline and appropriate follow up Compliance with daily paperwork. PTs are responsible for documenting all treatment in patient charts in a timely manner (initial evals, daily notes, progress notes, discharges, HEP) Stays current with billing policies and demonstrates ethical billing practices Maintains active state license by earning appropriate CEUs through outside courses and IBJI sponsored educational opportunities Develops positive relationships with the physician teams at IBJI Requirements Job Requirements Available to work 2 evening shifts per week and some Saturdays Able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment to support timely and efficient clinic workflow Able to function with a team Communicate effectively verbally and in writing to document/record information Strong interpersonal skills, able to work well and communicate professionally with physicians, patients and staff in all levels of the organization Able to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time. Additional Requirements Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills and relevant experience.
