Position Summary
The Licensed Physical Therapist (LPT) is responsible for evaluating and providing direct care to patients referred by a physician for physical therapy services, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The LPT establishes individualized plans of care and treatment goals, supervises Physical Therapist Assistants (LPTAs) and PT Aides, and ensures high standards of care through skilled use of therapeutic equipment and techniques.
This role includes regular communication with attending physicians, thorough documentation of patient evaluations and treatments, and adherence to age-appropriate care practices across pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. The LPT also contributes to staff development by providing in-services and mentorship as needed.
